Specialized microfiber material bonded to a semi-flexible foam backing. That allows better control and contour on various panel shapes with an ideal balance of cutting and finishing ability. Together with RUPES DA Fine Compound, the DA Fine Yellow Fine Microfiber Pads provide rapid removal of moderate defects and a high degree of finish quality on most paint systems.
Don’t get confused by the naming of this pad! It is great for heavier defect removal, and therefore will be useful more than any of the microfiber pads in the Rupes lineup!
These new microfiber pads are known for their incredible cut during the compounding stage. They have the ability to create a really fine finish that requires just one fine polishing stage afterwards. The DA FINE Microfiber Polishing Pads has yellow foam core that is quite flexible, and works well with contours.
Regardless of whether you’re correcting modern clear coat (either hard or soft), or older single stage paint, the Rupes DA FINE Yellow Fine Microfiber Pads are the perfect choice for your initial cut to remove scratches, sanding marks, swirls, and holograms.
For your follow-up polishing process afterwards, we recommend using the pads with Rupes DA Fine Polish, or Sonax Perfect Finish.
On a normal sized car, expect to use about 6-8, 5″ pads, and about the same amount of 3” pads to achieve best results. Work with a light brush until water rinses out clear. Spin-out as much water in the pad as you can by attaching the pad to the machine. After that, put the head of the machine into a bucket, and then turn it on. Once most of the water is out, place the pads (preferably) on a wire rack in a clean environment. As a result, it can fully dry before storing away for next use.
